The airbrush is an absoulutely wonderful tool in creating images. Through a combination of loose masking, stenciling and imagination, the airbrush allows me to render my interpretation of reality.

Each of the the larger images can take anywhere between 100 to almost 200 hours to produce. I begin by roughing out pencil sketches of my ideas, followed by several compositional renderings. Once I am satisfied with the overall design, I begin to airbrush. Colors are painstakingly matched, and it is not unusual for me to mix upward of 80 colors for a single portrait. The process is slow, but I believe the results are well worth it.
